Check out my new recipe for making Mumbai Special Vadapav without frying in oil. Try making these tasty aloo puffs at home, and share with your family.

Ingredients Used and Making Process:

– 2 cup Maida/Wheat flour optional
– 1 cup curd (100 ml measuring cup)
– Salt per taste
– 1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
– 1/2 teaspoon Eno (lemon-flavoured)
– 1 & 1/2 tablespoon oil (Butter optional)
– Mix the ingredients and knead the dough let it rest for 10 minutes
– Mortar and Pestle (Imam Dasta)
– Garlic and chopped ginger
– 2 cups boiled and mashed potatoes (Use 200ml measuring cup)
– 1 teaspoon green chilli paste
– 1/2 cup finely chopped coriander
– 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder and salt per taste
– Take 1 tablespoon oil in a Kadhai
– 1 teaspoon white Urad Daal
– 1 teaspoon mustard
– Asafoetida (Hing)
– Kadipatta (Curry) leaves
– Add the prepared seasoning to the potato mix
– 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
– The Vada mix is ready. Let’s check the dough
– Place the prepared Potato stuffing inside a thick flatbread (See video)
– Roll the flatbread halfway inwards (Refer video)
– Butter and milk for brushing
– Cover the rolls and let it rest for 10 minutes
– Take a pan and let pre-heat for 10-12 minutes on low flame
– Cover the top and let it bake for 30-35 minutes
– Or bake in pre-heated oven at 180 degree for 30-35 minutes
(Check after 30 minutes)
– Apply butter on warm bread (oil optional)
– Warm them a little before serving
