Sev is one of the most popular snacks of central India. It comes in many varieties, but they are mostly fried! Well, this recipe has the healthy factor! Enjoy our ribbon sev made from whole wheat flour and gram flour, to top it off they are baked! So, keep munching, keep enjoying!

Roasted Makhana Recipe
1 cup besan
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp asafoetid
1.5 tbsp warm oil
1 tsp salt
Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl, mix well and knead into a soft dough using 1/2 cup water.
Grease the ribbon shaped press mould with 1/8 tsp of oil, put a portion of the dough into it, press it and cover it with the lid.
Press out ribbons of the sev arranging them straight on a greased baking tray
Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180ºc for 20 minutes.
Cool completely, transfer the sev into a deep bowl and gently break it into half.
Store in an air-tight container and use as required.
