Keto Recipe – Spaghetti Bake
My recipe is relatively easy with just a few spices, and Rao’s tomato sauce. If you cannot find Rao’s, then look for a pasta sauce that is free from added sugar. While I’m calling for the marinara, I’ve also tested this recipe with their cheese flavor and it was equally as delicious!
Instead of asking you to stand watch over a bolognese for several hours, we’re going to make things easier by transferring the sauce to a slow cooker. It’s best to start in the morning so that your sauce is ready before dinner time, but you can make a batch the day before and store in the fridge until the next day. Once the sauce is ready – the casserole is a breeze! It will only take a few minutes to put together. If you want to tell everyone that you spent the whole day slaving over this bolognese – well, I’ll keep your secret!
By the way, bolognese freezes well. Make a double, or triple, batch and you can have bolognese on hand any time you’d like. This is a great recipe for prep day.
I recommend serving this with our breadsticks, or maybe even a reverse seared rib eye steak.

Ingredients:
Bolognese Sauce
1.5 pounds ground beef
1 tablespoon olive oil
½ medium white onion, about 100g or 3.5oz
2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
½ teaspoon thyme
½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
½ teaspoon ground marjoram
2 cups Rao’s marinara sauce
2 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
¼ cup chicken bouillon paste
Salt and pepper to taste
Zucchini Noodles
2-3 medium zucchini, about 570g or 20oz
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional garnish: fresh basil

God eat pasta only if your a diabetic then maybe it’s a concern.
I like the ideas behind a keto diet but I eat a lot of pasta and I never put on weight eating it but that’s not true when I eat white bread from supermarket and you don’t even have to eat a lot it bloats you.
If you’d like a little bite to your zoodles, a little trick I use is to spiral them the day or two beforehand. After spiraling the pay them with a dry paper towel and try to get them as dry as you can then line a bowl/container with dry paper towels and overnight the paper towels with dampen and the zoodles will be dry and crunchy that way when they cook they aren’t soggy.

Don't think the slow cooker part is nessecary but good recipe.

I made a vegetarian version of this with veggie crumbles instead of the sausage and I added basil instead of thyme. I did not crockpot slowcook the sauce but it was still SOOO yummy. Make this !

How many servings are there?
I have no idea what you think you accomplished by putting that sauce in a slow cooker for 8 hours. That's just plain silly! It's ground beef, you're tenderizing nothing. If your aim is to reduce the sauce a bit, leave the pan uncovered on it's lowest setting on the stove top for 30 minutes. Then sure, bake the zoodles and sauce. But again, the whole 8 hour slow cooking is completely silly and only adds more things to clean.
