Looking at everyoneâs comments I tried experimenting by placing one coat of breading, rolling in my palms than I placed it in the freezer for about 15 mins. I removed them & did another egg wash & coating. Worked perfect! I didnât need a 3rd coating. They turned out crispy & tasted great ! My 7 year old didnât know the difference.
Reading the reviews and having felt like a 2 yr old trying to coat the cheese…Iâll summarize what I gathered from all the replies and my own experience:
1) use a fork to stripe the sticks…it give it something to grab on to.
2)have a wet and dry towel, to wipe your hands between each trip…Someone suggests using gloves.
3)If youâre still having challenges, try rolling them in your palms…I havenât tried this.
4)Make sure youâve taken your meds…this will test your patience!đđ¤Ł
I made them! My non keto husband said they were good. Iâm going to make another batch tomorrow to keep in the freezer for lite snacks. I used an air fryer and I used Raoâs Marinara sauce.

My batter didnât stick to the cheese! What could I have done wrong? Used everything but the black powder. Help!
Oddly I had no luck with the breading sticking. When I dipped a second time alot of it would come off. And then dipping back in the breading I had a paste of breading that wouldn't stick to anything but my fingers. I must have done something wrong…
These were better than any restaurant mozzarella stick I've had. So good. I forgot to freeze them but it didn't matter. I broiled them for the last 2 minutes of baking to crisp them up. So freakin' good!!!!
These definitely have to be frozen before baking, otherwise you will come back to a cheezie mess in those short minutes its baking.

I ran into a problem with these. The âbreadingâ wouldnât stick into my cheese sticks. It all kept falling off no matter how much egg wash I put it in. I was only able to mold breading into a few before I couldnât get any more to stick. What did I do wrong?

any tips on doing the second coat and third coat of breading on here? The whole breading falls apart after each coating.
