JoeTisserie Pork Loin Roast
1 3-5 lb pork loin roast, trimmed of excess fat
1 cup italian dressing
Seasoning rub:
1 tablespoon Kamado Joe Peppered Sea salt
3 tablespoons Kamado Joe Smokey Paprika
Alternate seasoning rub:
2 teaspoons sea salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons paprika
1 tablespoon brown sugar
Directions:
Place the pork roast in a ziploc bag with 1 cup of italian dressing and marinate in the fridge overnight or up to 24 hours, rotating the bag occasionally.
Preheat your Kamado Joe grill to 350°F with the JoeTisserie in place.
Remove the pork roast from the refrigerator and place on the JoeTisserie spit rod and secure the forks in place. Dust the roast liberally with the seasoning rub and place the spit on the Joetisserie. Cook until you reach an internal temperature on the meat of 145°F (approximately 1 hour). Remove the roast from the grill and let rest for 10-15 minutes.
Slice and serve hot!

Another quality lesson…
Looks Fantastic! I have to get the Joetisserie!
I just got done with a tenderloin section on my big green egg. I seasoned with salt, pepper and garlic powder overnight. Just before cooking I bored holes and inserted hunks of Gouda cheese. I then crusted the whole piece with grated Parmesan. 300 dges for about 1 1/2 hours internal 165. Cut a couple of more slots, more Gouda and wrap in foil for 1/2 hr. Had this with fresh NJ tomatoes and Vidalia onions in Red wine vinegar, and fresh Jersey white corn from a local grower. Dayum sooooooo good. I love these tenderloins. BJ's has them on sale this week $1.69/# !!!!! Plus a $2.00 coupon. You cant beat this for low cost protein. The entire loin is about 2 1/2' long. Cut it into roasts, center cut pork chops, cube it for stir fry…awesome.
John love the simplicity of the Joe Tisserie and the brine/rubs! Been planning what to do with a frozen loin that I want to cook! This is it! Thanks again for you help in planning my cook!
So eager to get my Joetisserie!
First off…let me say that this is a cool gizmo..but my question is: I thought that you can get the same effect in terms of searing and overall quality by normal methods, but it may take a bit longer. What is the overall advantage?
Hey Joe, great video by the way!! You mentioned in the video that you tested the temperature and it was about 145 degrees? What sort of thermometer do you use? Is a simple instant read thermometer like Chef Remi Cooking Thermometer ideal to test the internal temperature or do you require something more specific?
Fine looking Pork Roast John, but stop teasing me. When is the Big Joetisserie coming out, I am drooling over here.

John, I just got my JoeTisserie . , living in Los Angeles, believe it or not, there aren't too many KJ dealers, and the ones that are around don't really carry much (as far as accessories) Question, where can I buy KJ lump and Rubs? Tim
