Healthy Low Fat Empanadas – healthy recipe channel

Beef Empanadas are Latin Americas most known and eaten street food. Most if not all latin speaking countries have their own version of the empanada. Unfortunately empanadas have always gotten a bad wrap for being extremely unhealthy, and with plenty of reason. They are loaded with saturated fat, little to no fiber or vegetable content, and made in a bleached flour shell then deep fried in the cheapest available vegetable or corn oil so they can be sold at super low prices to consumers. Not exactly the best of healthy meal ideas or a good idea when looking for lunch or dinner recipes. Thanks to the big boss air fryer and a some nice fresh veggies and some whole wheat organic flour we changed all of that for you empanada lovers out there.

Ingredients:
1lb ground beef
1 tsp of black pepper (optional)
1 cup chopped bok choy
1/2 cup shredded carrot
2-3 baby portabella mushrooms
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/3 cup diced onion or shallot
1 tblsp of chili powder
4 garlic cloves minced
200 grms of whole wheat organic flour
