My husband and I belong to the coastal region. So, it is no surprise that fish curry and rice was a staple food at our place growing up. We still continue eating it only with a few changes. I eat my fish curry with cauliflower rice and he eat some brown rice with it. This is one of my favorite recipes for keto fish curry. Fish curry is made in many ways, but my mom made it this way. No onions or tomatoes and ample coconut milk.
This is a Jitada fish curry recipe. Jita or betki is a fresh water fish and among the few fresh water fishes that we like to eat. It has a mild flavor and the flesh is moist and delicate. Ingredients:
650 gm Betki/Jitada Fish

Marinate:
1 tsp Garlic Paste
½ tsp Ginger Paste
½ tsp Green Chili + coriander paste (optional)
½ tsp Coriander Powder
¼ tsp Fenel Seed Powder
½ tsp Turmeric Powder
2 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder or any other mild chili powder

Masala Paste:
40 gm Coconut
¼ tsp Cumin Seeds

Gravy:
3 Tbsp Ghee
5-6 Garlic Cloves
1 tsp Tamrind Paste or more if using tamrind water
Coriander leaves
