Great vid (but, yes, turn the camera horizontally)! My wife and I are making your recipe in Bologna, Italy right now! Mmmm!
I agree!! Jackfruit is sooo good! I have had it as a pulled-veg sandwich, as a burger, and I wanted to try it as KFC so I looked this up and found your vid! Great to see you love it and it does work great as chicken! I can’t wait to try your recipe! You are a great cook! (How Old are you??).
Thank you! 🙏🌱❤️👍👏👏✌️
yours is the best. And thank you
looks great
How long did you boil the jackfruit to get rid of the can taste?
You got to cut off the tips their hard to chew, but you sound like your 12, very cute
You mentioned the recipes were the same. Are you using the jack fruit that was marinading in the sauce for the baked "chicken" as well?
Did you mean to say aluminum foil, rather than parchment paper? In the video it looks like foil.
Cool video 🙂
Please hold your phone horizontally when you record. This is hard to watch.
Love the idea of spraying the flour instead of trying to work with a sloppy batter or getting a powdery coating!
Making this right now, Jackfruit was marinated overnight and have done two different types of crumbing, one with a traditional style flour 'egg' wash (follow your heart Vegan eggs used for that) and the other just with normal crumbing as suggested above, just to see which comes out better
Thank you, but how does it taste???
I feel like some videos are all about the look – something that looks like it is chicken but the minute that you bite into it you know its not – i really don't care about the look – it can be green for all i care as long as the taste is good. Anyone know of such products?
great tip the boiling I threw mine away the taste was so horrible I wasn't going to buy another, but now I'll have another go.
Had to stop the vid when you said jackfruit because I have no idea where I'd find that.
Man! I cannot wait to make this. I have never seen or heard of doing this.
You're adorable. Your jackfruit method is the only one I've seen that mentions cooking out the flavor and changing the water and you're right… it makes such a difference. Thank you for sharing.
Can I use vegan eggs and then bread it? What do you think.

This vid is life, just like potatoes. You should have like a million subscribers.
Thanku for sharing. I felt like canned foods really taste like canned foods so I try to get fresh ones if possible. Also draining n soaking then boiling twice really help remove d can taste n remove saltiness but also drain d nutrients out of these foods
Wow!!! this was truly inspiring. No Soya, NO Vital Wheat Gluton. Fantastic pure genius !! I will diffenatley cook this tonight. It's just what I have been looking for a great vegan replacement. It looks delicious, I hope it taste just as great. Thank you for being so inovative. Please do more recipies. Would this work for a chicken curry using this subtitute. Thank you. God Bless.
What if I just need it to taste like plain chicken? What seasonings should I use?
you're awesome gotta try this! Thank you!
Slob of a cook. If that was my wife she would be kneeling on a broom stick.
What are you spraying??? Water???
the can has salt

Okay, so I just made both of these recipes this evening for dinner. The "pulled pork" came out better than I thought it would. I believe the "fried chicken" would've been better if I'd stuck to coating with flour only as opposed to coating with flour AND breadcrumbs. I boiled the jackfruit 1st in plain water for 30 min. then changed the water out. Added more water for a 2nd boiling and added 'no chicken base bouillon' paste with a whole chopped onion for another 20 min. This made ALL the difference in taste and texture for sure. This will be a staple, no doubt. Now, if you're 'transitioning' into a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle like I am, then this is a great start. The dishes will taste lighter and not nearly as heavy as cooked meat. Thumbs UP!
you need to turn your "camera" sideways/horizontal when you shoot video. this looks like torture to watch. on the other hand, the food looks good.
Did you come up with the recipe yourself?
This video is amazing great job can't wait to try it 🙌🏽
Interesting recipes, thanks for the video. I am trying to lose weight and cut my meat intake so this comes bandy.
Just wondering if it wasnt better to shred the jackfruit first, recompose it then bread and bake it. Same with the mock pork marinade: why marinate the chunks and not shred first then marinate? Thanks!
Amazing video. really inventive and I am making this tonight.
Love the double quotes.
Really liked your video!
I'm trying this!
dude, when you pulled apart that "chicken" i legit screamed a bit because it looks sooo good!
Thank you for this recipe!
