aquafaba chocolate chip “meringue” cookie trial ~Vegan snacks and chats~

This is a video of me trying out aquafaba and making it up as I go:)
Heres what I did::
~1/2 cup Aquafaba (liquid from canned chicpeas)
~1 cup confectioners sugar/ powdered sugar
~1/3 cup chocolate chips (VEGAN)
Preheat oven to 350*F
-Beat aquafaba for a few minutes on high (electric mixer)
-When you reach soft peaks or close to it add 1/3 of sugar and beat until combined, continue until no sugar left.
-Beat on high until you reach firm peaks. ****(check the video for when I stop. you don’t want to over beat this or it will deflate in the oven!)****
-Gently fold in chocolate chips, scoop large spoonfuls and place 1in apart on a lined cookie/baking sheet.
-Lower temperature to 200*f and bake for 1 hour and 45 min.
***dont open oven to look at them. you want the heat to stay in and dry them out.
-when it gets to an hour and a half open and touch the top of a few to see if sticky or soft. (should feel hard and dry) if not leave in a bit longer:)
-Dont allow to get golden or brown. you want these to be white and fluffy. but dry!
